The Women's Clan MTB Cycling Shoes are a tough and durable flat pedal mountain bike shoe designed for riders who love nothing more than to go full gas over any terrain and hit any trail feature. They feature a burly abrasion-resistant welded upper matched to mesh zones for comfort and protection on the hottest of trail days while TPU reinforcements are added to the toe and heel to protect against nasty rock and root strikes. The generously padded tongue is incredibly comfortable and protective too and the customisable fit is taken care of with non-stretch laces; simple, tough and easy to adjust, they're kept in place with an elastic keeper to stop them getting into the chain or crank.

The Women's Clan shoes feature a sole developed in conjunction with Michelin, guaranteeing you a rock-solid platform when you're taking on technical trails and steep rocky and rooty chutes. Design elements from the Michelin Jet XCR tire feature strongly and with an incredibly sticky Gecko+ compound, the combination is a sure-fire, confidence-inspiring, grippy winner in both wet and dry conditions. The tread itself provides stability on your flats with flexibility for a natural feel, extra grip centrally and secure control at the toes and heels.

It's All About Control

It's not just the grippy outsole that works so hard to keep you in control on flat pedals. Northwave have also carefully calibrated the stiffness of the sole, via an adaptive TPU shank to provide foot support and stability. The lengthwise openings along the medial zone and heel contain flexion and control torsion for perfect connectivity with the pedals. The horizontal wedge openings on the toe enable the flexion of the foot to be controlled on and off the bike.
