The original road-racing speed suit was first unveiled in 2011 at Paris Roubaix, the ultimate cobbled classic. From that moment on, the approach to competition-focused cycling kit changed.

This Sanremo RC Speed Suit has evolved from that original speed suit. It combines the advanced aerodynamics of the cutting-edge Castelli Aero Race 6 Jersey and the incredible comfort and supportive fit of their Free Aero RC Bib Shorts. The convenience of separate shorts and jersey but with an integrated design that delivers race-winning aerodynamics.

Using CFD analysis, Castelli’s engineers have precisely placed seams and low-drag fabrics where they are most effective at maintaining aero efficiency. The most meaningful gains are to be found in the range of 30 to 55 km/h.

Uncompromised Comfort

With speed comes intense effort. And hence heat. And sweat. However, highly breathable and quick-wicking materials to regulate your body temperature to prevent overheating and deal quickly with moisture. The 3D mesh back, in particular, is quick to draw moisture off the skin and allow unimpeded airflow to speed up sweat evaporation.

As befits a suit for use on the road, you have the benefit of storage pockets. Perfect for storing an energy gel or energy bar.

Both sleeves and leg grippers get a raw-cut finish for the smoothest and most comfortable fit. The leg grippers stay put without the need for silicone too.

The first contact point against the skin is the super-soft upper skin-care material. It's now seamless and even softer than previous generation pads. The next layer, Castelli’s infinitely variable thickness padding, imparts just the right level of support where you need it - thicker under the sit bones and thinner on the sides and under the perineum. The results are outstanding comfort with reduced bulk.

Lastly, to really push home superior comfort levels, perforated viscous padding is added under the highly sensitive ischial and perineum pressure areas, offering luxurious support when you're on the saddle for hours on end.
