An aerodynamic road cycling helmet, the Powerdrome Road Helmet (MIPS) is made to reduce the risk of injury should you be unfortunate enough to be involved in a crash. This is achieved through the combination of Mips® Brain Protection System and Abus' Multi-Shell In-Mould technology.
The multi-shell in-mould design sees a durable outer shell bonded to a shock-absorbing EPS foam core. In the event of a crash, the shock-absorbing foam liner dissipates impact forces, working to protect your head from injury. The tough outer shell adds structural strength while also protecting against minor bumps to the head and general wear and tear.
MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System)
The Mips system is designed to provide added safety for helmets in many accidents. For certain impacts, the Mips system can reduce harmful rotational motion that might otherwise be transferred to the user’s head.
Rotational motion is a common cause of concussions in oblique hits to the head. In a crash, the Mips system is designed to move slightly inside the helmet to help redirect forces away from the head.

Zoom Ace Adjustment System
When you're on the bike a good fit is essential for both your comfort and safety in a fall. And this is made easy with the Abus Zoom Ace adjustment system.
An easy-to-reach adjustment wheel lets you get the very best fit, offering up all-ride comfort and security in a fall. A half-surround ring connected to the adjustment system also delivers excellent stability, preventing the helmet from moving around as you jump in and out of the saddle.
Forced Air Cooling Technology
When pushing hard on the pedals it's the combination of 10 air inlets and 7 air outlets and the Forced Air Cooling Technology that will keep you feeling cool.
With air rushing into the front vents, the Forced Air Cooling Technology is a series of precisely engineered channels connecting the front vents to the rear. This creates a targeted rush of air over your head, boosting the overall cooling effect - even at high temperatures.
Sleek and Comfortable
The impressive ventilation is also supported by a sleek air scoop on the helmet. Based on the PowerDome of high-performance cars, it gives the helmet its name as a functional design element.
Inside, you'll also find 'Floating padding'. With 3 attachment points, it allows the padding to settle in the correct place for comfort and also improves ventilation around the padding.
